About Old Guard Technology

I'm Justin Tysdal. I started Old Guard Technology in 2009 to give smaller businesses the kind of IT and security that normally only bigger companies get.

My career runs from network administration into security. I ran the security and compliance program for a US software company, then built another from scratch for a software company here in Edmonton — it earned SOC 2 Type 2 and passed every audit after with no exceptions. Most recently I led IT and security for a 500-person engineering and field services firm, including the acquisition that doubled its size and merged both companies onto one Microsoft 365 setup.

Old Guard is my focus now. You get that same experience without paying for a full-time hire — and when you call, you get me.
